Luyện nghe bài hát Mr. Shorty

Nobody knew where he from
They only he came in
Slowly he to the end of the bar
And he up one slug of gin

Well, I see that he wasn't a large man
I tell that he wasn't too tall
I judged him to be five foot three
And his voice was a Texas drawl

Said he was needin' some
'Fore he ride for the west
Said he could do most all kind of
Said he could with the best

There in his blue was sadness
That comes the need of a friend
And tho' he tried, he still hide
The loneliness deep within

he would work through the winter
For thirty a month and his
I started to say he might land a job
a fellow came in through the door

And I could tell he was for trouble
From the way that he came in
He told me to leave Shorty by himself
down and wait on a man

The eyes of the man narrowed
The disappeared from his face
was the friendliness that I had seen
And a wild of hate took its place

But the big one to mock him
And he me that I'd better go
Find him a couple of of milk
Then maybe would grow

When the little man spoke, was stillness
He made sure everyone heard
he stepped away from the bar
And I remember these words

Oh, it's plain you're lookin' for trouble
Trouble's what I try to
If that's what you want, then what you'll get
'Cause cowboy, both packin' guns

His was already positioned
Feet apart on the floor
I noticed but there on his hip
Was a short barreled bass

It was plain, he was ready and
He leaned a bit and said
"When you call me Shorty, say Mister, my
Maybe you'd be dead"

In the room was a silence
As the big one out on the floor
All drinkin' stopped and the tick of the
Said death would wait ten more

He cussed once or twice in a
And he said with a on his lips
Nobody's Mister to me, man
And he grabbed for the gun on his

But the little man's hands was like
The bass forty-four was the
The forty-four spoke and it lead and smoke
And seventeen of flame

For the big one had never leather
Beaten before he start
A little round hole had on his shirt
The bullet went through his heart

The man stood there a moment
Then holstered the forty-four
It's this way so I never stay
Slowly he out the door

Nobody knew where he from
They won't he came by
won't forget how a forty-four gun
One night the difference in size

As for me, I'll remember the
Shown in the of the man
If we someday, you can bet I would say
That me, Mr. Shorty, your friend
